High-Spreadability Pigment Suspension System with Very High Coverage

5.80 CAD
A high-spreadability suspension system that offers very high coverage with a real skin finish. Packaged with a thin nozzle applicator for precise and easy application, this formula allows high pigments to look natural on the skin, and resists collecting in fine lines. Available across a 36 shade range. The shades are divided into four categories: 1 for lighter tones, 2 for medium tones, 3 for dark/deep tones, and 4 for deeper tones. Each category is then classified further by a second digit from 0 to 4 to indicate depth within each category. Finally, a letter is added to the shade code to identify the undertone: P (Pink) and R (Red) indicate cool undertones; N indicates a Neutral tone; Y (Yellow) indicates a warm undertone. The full shade range is available to explore on each product page and also as a summary on our colour swatch. Note: The Ordinary Concealer has been formulated to be slightly lighter in comparison to our offerings within our Serum/Coverage foundations.
Apply to imperfections, blemishes, or the under-eye area. Blend using your fingertips or a brush. If irritation occurs, rinse off, cease use, and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children. See how to combine multiple formulations from The Ordinary in a single regimen

Patch tests are an easy way to help predict if you may experience a negative initial reaction to a new product. It is recommended to perform a patch test before incorporating any new product into your regimen. We have outlined a general method for conducting your own patch test below based on the type of product.

  • Apply a small amount of the product onto a clean area of skin on the upper forearm.
  • Keep the area dry.
  • If the product has a specified duration of use, rinse off after this time has elapsed. Otherwise rinse off after 24 hours.
  • If any redness, burning, itching, blistering or irritation is observed at any time throughout the test, do not use the product.

For more product specific information, review our Patch Testing Guide.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for dry skin I wanted to try out this concealer because the foundation is so perfect for me but its so drying and clings on to any cracks and hair. I've been mixing it with another concealer and it just separates way too thick and wouldn't recommend this concealer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Color names/undertones? I am curious about the names of the shades: for example P (Pink) and R (Red) indicate cool undertones.... so those are opposites. The N Y say warm undertone. Is this saying the product has the labeled undertone or that you should order based on your skin undertone? Ex: my nose has a reddish hue so I'd usually get N or Y. My under eye area is dark so I'd get a warm undertone for that. To me it seems the labels are switched? Maybe I'll just buy both and find out, it's only a few bucks!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from hard to get the color right I bought the color I thought was right but it was much too light. Then I bought a darker one but it was too dark and too pink! Mixing them didn't work. I like the coverage and the feel of it, but I just cannot figure out the color!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It does exactly $5.80 worth of job Deciem needs to do over this concealer. I have tired a shade lighter and a darker to get the right color, but the color range of this line is just too far apart. It has good coverage but it enhances your under-eye texture, and is very drying so ultimately settles on your fine lines that you didn't think existed before.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not go-to As other reviews have suggested, I found this concealer difficult to colour match. I used my foundation shade as a starting point, but found the concealer too light. The saving grace is the return policy on these products, I was able to go back for a new shade. I also found the consistency of the concealer to be a bit too thick. I prefer a lighter consistency that I can build on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Ordinary Concealer This product and foundation, IS THE WORST FOUNDATION AND CONCEALER EVER. TRACKS EVERYWHERE?!!!! DO NOT BUY.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice concealer- extremely inconsistent shade range The product itself is quite nice- highly pigmented, blendable, if slightly drying. Definitely gives a matte finish. What is frustrating is the shade matching. I first bought my usual shade I use in the serum/coverage foundations: 1.2 N (although sometimes I also wear a 1.2YG), and in the concealer this shade is 1-2 shades lighter than in the foundations, and the 1.2N in the concealer seemed more pink-toned than in the foundations. So I kept the too-light concealer (maybe use for contouring?) and ordered the next shade up- 2.0 (YG this time.) Even though I only went one step up in the shade chart, this one is at least 3 shades darker! And much darker than my foundation in the exact same shade (1.2YG), yet the product description for these concealers says that the concealer runs one shade *lighter* than the foundations! So, I've now bought two tubes of this concealer that are not the right shade. I don't know what do do at this point to figure out what will actually match my skin. I don't know if it's bad quality control or what, but I've given up trying to find my shade in this product. Really disappointing. Deciem needs put in the effort to just do a new color-swatch chart for these.
